A blustery day

Yesterday the wind picked up.  It was so strong that the door of our RV nearly flew out of Mark’s hand when he opened it.  I had my cowboy hat cinched under my chin and the wind picked it up off my head.  Fortunately I was able to hang onto it till we got in the car.

Last evening it was blowing so hard that even with our stabilizers down, we could feel the RV moving.  I told Mark it was reminiscent of the night on our honeymoon when we were in Montana near Glacier Park and we spent the night clinging to each other and praying that our RV wouldn’t be blown over.

Mark heard a weather report that said the wind was supposed to die down during the night and we were supposed to get snow.  However, the wind woke me up a little after 3:00 this morning and I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I decided to get up and blog since I didn’t do so yesterday.  Our alarm is set to go off at 4:00 anyway.

According to the online weather report I just checked, we are still supposed to get snow today while we are at work — possibly three to six inches.  I can’t find where it tells how strong the wind is, but they say we have a wind advisory through 4:00am and then a winter storm warning from 4:00am to 4:00pm.  It’s five minutes to 4:00 now and the wind is still blowing strong so I hope it dies down before we leave for work at 5:00!
