My morning started out great with a phone conversation with Jamey. However, without KW at work today, I had to handle one lunch hour without any help and I made plenty of mistakes today. Continue reading

Still getting in gear
This morning when I first arrived in the office there was a flurry of activity. People were buying gifts before checking out. One couple bought nine Ulu knives, the traditional knives that were used by the tribes who lived in the north. Interestingly, the first time I had seen such a knife was at a Subway sandwich shop in Whitehorse when they used it for chopping salads. It has a curved blade with a wooden handle at the top. First day on the job
Mark and I went into the office together at 10:00 and then were taken our separate ways. I stayed in the office and Mark went outside to help with maintenance and landscaping. Continue reading
Looking toward the future
Mark and I basically stayed home and cleaned house today, but I do have something good to report. Last week I e-mailed a company that has been advertising for beet harvest help in October. A quicky
It’s late and I should be getting to bed, but I just wanted to check in briefly. Continue reading
Busy, busy, busy!
This morning Mark and I got up and drove over to Aunt Marg’s house where we had left the U-Haul truck for the night. We picked it up and took it to our new storage unit. Our old storage unit was 10×10 and the U-Haul truck was a 14 foot. Our new storage unit is 10×20. We’ve filled all the walls, but the center is still open. We plan to go through everything we’re carrying in the RV and see what else we can store that we thought we’d need with us. Continue reading
All done!
All week Mark and I have been telling each other: “Only four days left.” “Only three days left.” “Only two days left.” “Only one day left.” Continue reading
