This morning we went to church with Steve and Bernice. They had warned us that it was big. Even at that, I wasn’t prepared for how huge it is. It’s called Northland Distributed Church because simultaneously with one of the two services in this building, it’s being broadcast (distributed) live to branch churches all over the country.
We crossed two state borders today, skipping over South Carolina. We will be back in a week or so, but we are in a hurry to spend Thanksgiving with my cousin and his family in Orlando tomorrow. Our day did not start out well. You may recall that when we tried to park in our campsite last night, there was a truck parked there and Mark had to honk for a while to get the owner to come out and move it. This morning as we were packing up, a woman with a clipboard came by and told us that the next camper for our space was there. We were supposed to have a checkout time of 11:00. It was only 10:30. Today was a spiritual day in many ways. I wanted to take Mark to Arlington National Cemetery today while we finally had full sun and then Denise Fuller invited me to an Acts 2 event that friends of hers had invited her to. Mark and I both had a sense of reverence all day. Continue reading
