Thank you to those of you who have sent us Christmas cards and newsletters (or in one case, a newspaper). I have been holding some of them till today so that I’d be in the Christmas spirit when I read them. Continue reading

From Winnsboro, TX
Tonight we are staying in a cabin on Falster Farm (http://falsterfarm.com/). We had to leave our RV out on the road for the night. I’ll explain later. Continue reading
I am woman, I am strong!
This is a question for my female readers: Do you ever feel like when you tell a man you’re concerned about something, he pats your head and says, “There, there! Nothing to worry your pretty little head about?” Continue reading
Potluck
There was a potluck scheduled for 2:00 here in the fairgrounds this afternoon. The afternoon started out warm but breezy, I think everyone came, and there was lots of good food. Continue reading
Thank you!
Thank you to all who sent prayers and well-wishes for Mark. His baritone has turned to bass and his appetite is better. He still has a cough but he’s going to try returning to work tomorrow. Continue reading
Another one bites the dust
Well, not quite “bites the dust”, but Mark is singing a very deep bass this week. He has something bronchial going on and missed work today. He’ll probably miss another day or two as well the way he’s going. I took him to the doctor this morning and she said something is going around Tok that she hasn’t quite figured out yet. Please pray for Mark.

Tonight I feel almost human again and I’ve been told by an on-call nurse that I am no longer contagious, even though I’m still sniffling and sneezing and coughing. Tomorrow I’m going to try half a day at work and see how I do. Poor Miss Rose has had to cover for me too long! Continue reading
Sick and tired
Saturday at work I thought my throat was dry so I kept drinking water. By Saturday evening I realized I had a sore throat. Sunday morning I woke up with swollen glands and a sore throat so we stayed home all day. Monday we also stayed home and rested, but it was obvious I wasn’t getting any better so I knew I wouldn’t be in to work on Tuesday. Continue reading
Happy birthday to me!
Today is my birthday! Late yesterday afternoon my mother, stepfather, son and daughter-in-law came up to be with me through Mother’s Day. Last night Aunt Marg and all the rest of us went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Via Birch Bay Café and Bistro. My family all got to see our new RV too. It’s so good to have them here!
