Today is my birthday!  Late yesterday afternoon my mother, stepfather, son and daughter-in-law came up to be with me through Mother’s Day.  Last night Aunt Marg and all the rest of us went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Via Birch Bay Café and Bistro.  My family all got to see our new RV too.  It’s so good to have them here!

And now for something entirely different:  The day before yesterday we took our cats to a vet for probably the first time since they were kittens.  They needed to have proof of having rabies shots to get across the border.  While the vet was examining them, he discovered that Dobby, at least, and possibly Kimba had some bad teeth that needed pulling.  We left them overnight.  Yesterday Dobby had three teeth pulled, including his upper fangs which were rotten and infected.  Kimba got away with just a cleaning.  The vet said Dobby was probably in a fair amount of pain as infected as his teeth were.  We didn’t know.  Our poor dears!
