Under a lightning sky
As I write tonight, I’m watching a spectacular sky show. About every thirty seconds to a minute, the clouds light up. Maybe every five minutes or so, I actually see a jag of white lightning cross the sky in front of me. The lightning is far enough away that it takes a while for the thunder to come, but it’s fun to watch! Continue reading

The “weekend”
Our weekends are now going to be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We need to work on Saturdays and Sundays, but we chose Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the idea that at least maybe we could get in on a Wednesday night prayer meeting or Bible study at some of the local churches. Continue reading

God answers prayer!
Confession time: Mark and I have been running out of food. We’ve been gratefully accepting invitations to eat out in the last week to stretch our food. Several days ago we ran out of meat. We’re out of fruit, vegetables, milk, bread. The cats ran out of food yesteday and we had $7.51 in coins that we took to Safeway to buy them food. We were $.31 short (we never know how to figure sales tax here) and a woman behind us paid it. She said she’s been there before. We’ve been praying blessings on her ever since. Continue reading
