I mentioned a couple of days ago that when the electricity went off in the house, it fried Mom’s computer. A guy from Geek Squad came over to fix it. I told him that I had tried all the cords and rebooted the modem a couple of times. He looked on the other side of the desk and found a cord, unplugged it, plugged it back in and the computer started. Duh, Denise!

Continue readingAt 3:30 in the morning this morning, the smoke detector in my bedroom started chirping. At 6:00, I finally crawled up on the dresser, took it down, put it in my bathroom, and shut the door, but I could still hear it.
Continue readingThis morning, I asked Mom if I could borrow her car to go get some cereal and she said yes, but I ended up getting more than cereal and was gone longer than Mom had anticipated, so she called me and asked if I was lost. I was just having way too much fun!
Continue readingThis morning, Dad wanted to walk back to his bedroom for a minute, but by the time he got back there, he was so winded that he had to lie down on the bed. Elaine said he needed oxygen, so I got out an extra long hose hospice had given us and attached it to his oxygen machine in the dining room, and it was long enough to go all the way back to his bedroom. He got nice and comfortable there and took a little nap.
Continue readingThis morning, my sister and her family came over to help take Dad to church along with his wheelchair, but by the time we finally arrived, the congregation was singing the last worship song, and then they were having Mission Sunday. Dad was disappointed that it wasn’t going to be a regular church service, so after about 20 minutes of being there, he decided he wanted to go home. There was a clan gathering to get ready for.

Continue readingWe got to our spot behind my church here in Tucson last night. I wasn’t feeling very well (I seem to have picked up a cold in the last couple of days) so I pretty much went to bed right after dinner and slept soundly through the night.

As you probably already know, my dad fell and broke a vertebra in his neck, so I’m worried about him, but we did have a good weekend with Kader and Zak and I want to honor them with this blog.
