A day with Mom

This morning, I asked Mom if I could borrow her car to go get some cereal and she said yes, but I ended up getting more than cereal and was gone longer than Mom had anticipated, so she called me and asked if I was lost. I was just having way too much fun!

Those white streaks you’re seeing are snowflakes falling!

When I got home and had breakfast, I got a text from Elaine asking if I could come and watch Dad for a while, but transportation wasn’t working out, and then Lauryn asked me not to go anywhere near Dad until any possibility of me catching what Mom has is gone.

A little bit later, Mom and I played a game of Scrabble and then this evening, I managed to get her to watch selected parts of some of the episodes from Season 1 of The Chosen. For those of you who have seen it, I showed her the third episode of Jesus with the children. Then I showed her the meeting with Nicodemus on the roof, the calling of Matthew the tax collector, the dinner with the sinners and publicans, and Jesus with the woman at the well. Watching the first season of The Chosen is always such a joyful experience for me, and I especially enjoy sharing it with people who haven’t seen it yet. If you haven’t seen The Chosen, I highly recommend it!

Tonight, I talked with Mark. I told him that when I was at the store this morning, I bought a birthday gift and a card for someone who’s having a birthday soon. He asked who that is (playing dumb) and I said, “Three guesses and the first two don’t count!” We teased back and forth about it. I’ll give you all a clue: it’s someone who traditionally likes to visit Tombstone on his birthday! 😉
