Today is the first working day in California when I’ve been unemployed as a Workamper. Mark has this week left to work and then we have a couple weeks to get packed up and head to Oregon for several weeks. So I’ve spent today doing research for my editing business and working on my web site. Continue reading

Guest Blog: Susan Hornbach
Please welcome Susan Hornbach, an author/writer of children’s literature. I met Susan on LinkedIn and she seemed to have some good advice for writers who want to publish, so I asked her to write a guest blog for my web site. She did so in the form of an interview: Continue reading
New book news!
Imagine watching your spouse go from perfect health to total dependence on you for everything. That’s what happened to Delores Warner. Her husband, who had always been in control, was diagnosed with ALS, and he made her promise she wouldn’t put him in a nursing home. He took the picture I’m using for my Continue reading
Fun research!
I had a 45 minute call with my business mentor, Elge Premeau, today. She was very pleased with my web site and my blog. She’s going to try to help Jamey (my technical administrator) figure out how to make this an RSS feed so I won’t have to e-mail everyone Continue reading

Book reviews – picture books
My current client recently told me that she used to want to write children’s books, and now that she has written a book for adults, she doesn’t think she wants to write any more books. Here is food for inspiration:
