I was born into a family that belonged to a very small sect called the Thompson Brethren. Actually, they didn’t call themselves much of anything except The Meeting. The Thompson Brethren were started back in the early 1900s by a series of tent revivals led by a man named Nels Thompson. They were (and are still) very Bible based. Continue reading

I have been working, lately, on Christmas gifts. Today I finished the project I was working on and still had most of the afternoon before time to go to work, so I started decorating for Christmas. 29 Gifts
I guess it must have been about a year ago that I discovered an organization called 29 Gifts. They have a 29-Day Giving Challenge. The idea is that you give at least one gift a day for 29 days and record what happens. They don’t have to be big expensive gifts; even a smile and a kind word to an overworked store clerk counts. Happy trails to you!
Mark and I had a wonderful time with family the last few days. My mother graciously hosted us, we visited my aunt and got a tour of my cousin’s new home in Sherwood, we spent a couple hours visiting my son and daughter-in-law in their home this morning, and we had a big, wonderful family gathering for Thanksgiving this afternoon.
