Home again

Trying to catch you up on what’s been happening since I returned to Wisconsin…

I returned on Tuesday, August 9th on a red eye flight and finally realized, after my second of these, that I can’t sleep on a red eye.  I get jumpy leg in the narrow leg room.

So when Mark picked me up in Chicago at 6:15 AM, he took me to the motel he had rented the night before and I got a couple hours of sleep in.  Then I slept a good bit of the way home.

We did make a stop in Sturgeon Bay when we saw something unusual in port:

A couple days later, this was here to welcome me back:

I spent last week recovering from jet lag and getting back into my routine.  It felt good to get back to cleaning.  In the time I was gone, dust and cobwebs had accumulated, so I let the spiders know I was back!

This Tuesday morning, August 16th, Mark had a dermatology appointment for Mohs surgery on his right ear.  They got all the cancer, but his ear looks really bad right now.

Anyway, that’s about all that’s been happening here.  I’ll try to do better at keeping up now that my summer is getting back to normal.
