From Kieler, WI!!!

We are finally in Wisconsin! Yay!!!

The Platte River just outside of Lincoln, NE
I was interested in these tiers on the left. There’s grass on the up-and-down part, and the crop grows at the top of the tier. It’s an interesting way to grow things on a hill.
Some farms produce crops, some produce meat and eggs, and some produce wind energy!
We took a break at this rest stop and fixed ourselves some sandwiches. It was a scenic place to stop!
I’ve been wanting to show you this. Wyoming and Nebraska have the cheapest gas we’ve seen anywhere. Mark said Plus is so cheap here because it has 10% ethanol in it. He bought a gas additive to compensate.
We passed this fair in Des Moines, Iowa when we were done getting gas.
Two towns to the right — I wouldn’t mind living in What Cheer. It sounds like a happy place!
We started heading NE toward Wisconsin on this route. Anything to avoid Illinois and all its toll roads!
Cedar Rapids, IA, is where we caught Hwy 151.
Preparing to cross the Mississippi River…
…and on the other side, Wisconsin welcomes us!!!
A short way into Wisconsin, we stop for the night at the Rustic Barn Campground and RV Park.
The place we stopped yesterday had chess, this place has checkers.
Right behind our parking spot is a little chapel that looks like it actually gets used.
Tucson loved the big open area where she got to run free!
Mark had a little sit-down in back of the chapel.
I sat down on a cow bench with the sun in my eyes. It kind of reminded me of those squinty pictures they used to take in the old days, because you were supposed to stand facing the sun.
Gorgeous view
Gardens and hanging baskets
There’s a playground is in front of our RV. This dad was out watching his child play.
And this is where we are parked.

We lucked out 2 nights in a row and got beautiful camp sites for reasonable prices. That almost makes up for all the bad stuff that has happened since we left Tucson!
