From Twin Falls, ID

Today was a day of ups and downs, meaning that we went through a lot of mountains and hills, not the least of which was Cabbage Hill as soon as we left Pendleton. Mark was amazed that we climbed it at 40 mph today! Usually, he says, we can only go 30 or 35 mph. He doesn’t know what made the difference today.

Look! I’m wearing matching boots! I had to leave the right boot untied because of my lace-up ankle brace, but it was good not to have the heavy boot on.
A little bit of snow in the Blue Mountains today. By the way, meet my plant of steel. My Turkish daughter, Kader, got it for me when they were done with our bathroom remodel last summer. I have never been able to keep a houseplant alive this long. I didn’t inherit my mother’s green thumb. 🙁
Beautiful view
Tucson wasn’t very interested in the view. She slept under my feet most of the day.
We stopped at this rest stop and made ourselves some sandwiches for lunch.
Things got drier as we came down the east side of the mountains.
Water!
My favorite driver!
Looking down into a valley
This canyon is in Twin Falls, ID. It got me wondering if the twin falls that Twin Falls was named after drop into this canyon.
Mark and I had to go grocery shopping after we got settled at the KOA. I spotted what looks like a mansion in the not-too-far distance while we were sitting at a stoplight.
Rain clouds up ahead
Shortly after we arrived, this custom-built 40-foot RV pulled by a Peterbilt cab truck pulled in beside us. A bunch of campers around us came out to ogle it when it pulled in. It made that side of our RV dark in daylight because it was so big that it blocked our view of everything else.

I got a text from my sister this morning saying that the swelling on my mother’s owies has gone down and Mom is walking without a limp. Thank you to all those who let me know you were praying for her. Prayer works!
