Pictures from our election trip

So we all woke up to a new day today.  Some of you woke up feeling happy and some of you felt like you’d been kicked in the stomach, but the sun still rose and life goes on.  I woke up early this morning and began practicing what I preached last night…praying for our president-elect and for the country.

There is still beauty in the world, as my camera found on this trip:

Lynden, WA reminds me of Door County, WI... except with mountains!

Mark and I had treated Aunt Marg to dinner last night, which we took to her place and ate while we were watching the election results, so this morning Aunt Marg took us out for breakfast at the Rusty Wagon.  She’s a sweet and gracious woman.

The God who created such beauty surely has our best in mind.  It would please Him to no end if we would now live by the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.  Be kind to each other and do all the good you can to bring healing to the nation.
