I want to give a shout out to my younger sister, Lauryn, and my 14-year-old nephew, Nate, who just returned home today from a mission trip to Kenya. I hope to get one of them to write a guest blog about their trip.
Adam and Beth, Joe and Glenda, and Mark and I went out to breakfast this morning at a place called Alice’s Restaurant. Apparently Arlo Guthrie wrote a song about Alice’s Restaurant that he’s famous for. The food was massive and good! We ate outside and enjoyed good conversation and the environment of a mountain town that basically covers an intersection. That’s it. There’s Alice’s and there are a couple shops across the street!
Then Mark and I spent the day down below running errands. Lauryn, I mailed a book to Wycliff. (He’s someone that Lauryn witnessed to in Kenya even though it looked like he meant to do her harm, and she promised to send him Christian books. If you’d like to mail him a Christian book, contact me and I’ll get the address for you.) And tell Sherill I mailed her a fairly lengthy letter, complete with pictures!
That’s all I have for tonight!
