I want to thank all my new Sun N Fun readers for the warm send-off you gave us. So many of you came by as we were packing up and getting ready to leave. Your heartfelt farewells and “Have a safe trip” wishes were much appreciated. We didn’t get out of Sun N Fun till 2:00 this afternoon. I think that’s the latest we’ve ever started out from a job site, but there were so many of you who said you’ll miss us. It kind of put a lump in my throat!
We got onto I-75 and headed north. There were a couple times I would have liked to take a picture, but our windshield was so dirty. We stopped around Dade City to go through a truck wash.
We also got gas and something to eat and then we hit the road again. For some reason I was tired and I took a little nap. Where I-75 intersects with I-10, we headed west on I-10. Shortly after we got on I-10, we stopped at a rest stop and I needed to get out and stretch my legs. I grabbed my camera and started shooting:
We got back on I-10 and drove for another hour or so before coming to Madison, FL. Madison is halfway between the I-75/I-10 junction and Tallahassee, FL, and apparently it’s where Ray Charles grew up. We pulled into a Jellystone park after hours, but a very friendly man showed us where our check in information was and how to get through the gate. He even told us how to get to our site. Either he works there or he was just very helpful!
We got parked in our site before sunset and before we even got hooked up, Mark and I grabbed our cameras and walked around the campground. Something about it reminded me of Sun N Fun:

There was a horse similar to this in the miniature golf course at Sun N Fun, but the one there has a rider on it.
So far, all my photos had pretty much been record shots, but as the sun went down I got some pretty nice stuff:
Good night!
Denise, this is a great blog. Awesome photos!! I look forward to reading more. Safe travels to you both!
