From Bozeman, MT

We had reached our campsite after dark last night, so we didn’t know what our surroundings looked like.  This morning when I opened the blinds, I was happy to see that we were in a nice area.

As we were getting back onto I-90, this is what we saw.

Not long after we crossed into Montana, we had a thrill: a coyote ran across the highway right in front of us.  I’ve heard them at night, but I’ve never actually seen one in the wild.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t ready with my camera when he streaked past.

Just before Billings, we stopped at a rest stop. Mark had been fighting a head wind and he wanted to let the RV cool down a bit. This was the only thing of interest I saw around the rest stop. We were in flat land again.

This rancher has a nice view! I hope his home is somewhere away from the noise of the highway.

I think we were somewhere north of Yellowstone at this point.

As you can see, we went back and forth between green mountainous areas and flat dry areas.  We had a shorter drive today, but with some of the climbing we were doing and the head winds Mark was fighting, it was good to get off early.
