We had reached our campsite after dark last night, so we didn’t know what our surroundings looked like. This morning when I opened the blinds, I was happy to see that we were in a nice area.
Not long after we crossed into Montana, we had a thrill: a coyote ran across the highway right in front of us. I’ve heard them at night, but I’ve never actually seen one in the wild. Unfortunately, I wasn’t ready with my camera when he streaked past.

Just before Billings, we stopped at a rest stop. Mark had been fighting a head wind and he wanted to let the RV cool down a bit. This was the only thing of interest I saw around the rest stop. We were in flat, dry land again.
As you can see, we went back and forth between green mountainous areas and flat dry areas. We had a shorter drive today, but with some of the climbing we were doing and the head winds Mark was fighting, it was good to get off early.
