Visit to Green Bay

Mark had a couple business errands to run in Green Bay today and I went with him.  He took his pay from last week and deposited it.  We went to Home Depot to get parts for jobs Mark is doing.  And then we did some fun stuff!

There are some sewing projects I want to work on, so for my birthday (tomorrow), Mark took me to Joanne’s Fabrics and let me pick out some things.  He knows what I like!

We also went to Perkins Restaurant for lunch.  We each ordered off the Duo menu (sandwich and salad in our case) knowing that we could get a free slice of pie since today was Monday.  We got Wildberry Pie.  Yum!

We were finally ready to head back home, but on our way, we stopped in Surgeon Bay to check out the Habitat for Humanity Restore again.  This time we found a nice wooden medicine chest (our bathroom only has a mirror) and a double sink counter top for the bathroom.  The medicine chest only cost $15 and the counter with sinks cost $40.  Habitat for Humanity Restore is becoming my favorite place to shop for the house!

When we got home, I had a pleasant surprise.  Well, two actually.  There were a couple birthday cards in the mail for me.  (Thank you, Sherill and Judy!)  But the best thing was a message on our answering machine from my new boss.  I have been trying to get in touch with her to find out when I am supposed to start work, and she called to tell me I can come in Thursday at 9:00.  Perfect!  I’m looking forward to working there.
