After work this afternoon Mark and I saw several musicians starting to set up to play in the courtyard outside the office. As they were tuning their instruments I jumped on my bicycle back to our place and grabbed our camera.
They were two couples, one from Colorado and one from Georgia. I asked where they met and they laughed and said they met in Florida. They get together once a year somewhere in the country to play and sing. The fiddle player’s father used to be a caller and fiddle player at square dances, so she grew up with fiddling in her genes. The group played bluegrass and country music and they were good. I couldn’t understand why more people didn’t stop to hear them play.
