We are again ahead of schedule. I had planned for us to be in Buford, WY tonight, but Mark pointed to Buford as we passed by. It was basically a gas station.

There was a view point where we were able (just barely) to walk up and get a good vantage point on the red rock walls.

I discovered my camera was still set for dusk. This was what the rock looked like when my camera was set for auto adjust.

We stopped to look at the Lincoln Memorial overlooking the Lincoln Highway — the old Hwy 30 and the newer Hwy 80.

We seem to finally be in the grass lands. I also saw a few scattered oil wells today. (This was a really long telephoto shot from a moving truck!)
At the rate we’re going, we could be in Door County a day earlier than we anticipated!
