Running the farm

Nancy and Karl sold a couple cows so they left yesterday to deliver them.  They left us in charge of running the farm for the last couple days.  We got the animals fed and today we did some more work on the chicken coop we’re building.  The Falsters returned today.  It’s sure good to have them back and in charge!

By the way, so many of you have asked where this job came from that I thought I’d better explain.  We had some time to kill between arriving in Texas and the start of our Christmas tree job.  I had been in contact with Nancy Falster for several months and I knew that she and Karl needed help on their farm, so I wrote to her before we left Montana and asked if she could use our help for nine days.  She jumped at the offer because they are behind on what they need to have done before winter sets in.  This chicken coop we’re building had been built before but two wind storms tore apart what they had.  Mark and I are trying to make it as stable as possible.  I’ll get pictures when it’s done.
