A day off

Mom wanted to take me around and show me some of her favorite things today.

The first stop was Al’s Garden Nursery. The place is huge!

From there, she took me to a farm market so that I could see she has a rural area near her.

Not much is growing yet so they didn’t have much inside, but the people were friendly and they gave samples of their sour dough bread.
I imagine the farm store will have lots of stuff to sell in another month or so.

From there, we went to lunch and then she took me to her favorite ice cream store, Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream.

While we were out and about, Mark and I got a text from our Turkish daughter, Kader. The professional photographer finally sent the wedding pictures they had taken in December!

Kader and Zak are working on getting her American citizenship so that she can go to Turkey and see her family. If all goes well, they hope to have another wedding in Turkey in September so that her family can attend. Several American family members, including Mark and me, hope to go with them.
