This morning at 9:00 a woman named Katherine came to pick me up for a Girls’ Day Out. Katherine is one of the seasonals here, but she also works in the office. She is a quilter, and when she found out I am too, she offered to take me to a quilt shop I’ve been wanting to see in Sturgeon Bay.
On our way there we stopped in Jacksonport at a farmers market. Here are some pics:

I talked with this vendor about the brilliance of the colors in her clothing. She said it’s not tie-dye but ice-dye. You scrunch up whatever you want to dye in a bucket, fill the bucket with ice, and put powdered dye on top of the ice. As the ice melts the color saturates the fabric. It was beautiful!

These are some of the pickles and jams. He said this year he’s going to enter his dandelion jam and lavender jam and one other flower jam in the competition.

Then Katherine and I went to Sturgeon Bay and went to the quilt shop, a Hallmark shop, and a coffee shop. We had a wonderful time!
We got home at 1:00 and Mark and I spent the rest of the day getting me packed and ready to fly to Washington tomorrow. More on that later. Right now Mark is calling me to bed!
Glad the weather was perfect for your outting.
One day we’ll have one and I’ll get to be the one having coffee with you!!!
Praying for your upcoming travels.
I love you sister <3
