My posts may be rather sporadic during the month of July as we get ready to move. We had a garage sale last weekend, but didn’t sell as much as we’d hoped to, so we’re going to have another garage sale this weekend. We’re still looking for homes for our cats. We’re sorting through what to put in storage and what to get rid of and what will fit in our RV. We’re working on ways to optimize the space we have.
It strikes me that what we are doing is editing our lives. Mark Twain wrote: “Substitute ‘damn’ every time you’re inclined to write ‘very’; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.” We are getting rid of the “very’s” in our life and simplifying. It’s good to know what things are most important to us and cut out all the fluff. Those of you who are writing, keep this tip in mind.
