A day with Aunt Marg

I slept in this morning after having a less than stellar night of sleep, but then I had the first real shower I’ve had in over a year.  Those of you who don’t live in an RV may not understand what I mean by a “real” shower.  The water heater in our RV is something like six gallons, so while I’m lathering up I have to turn the shower head off.  It’s always a luxury to be able to stand in a hot shower throughout the time I’m washing.

Aunt Marg was already up and dressed and ready to make me breakfast when I came out.  We had oatmeal with dried cherries that I had brought from Door County.  Yum!  We had a full day of errands to run so after breakfast we were off and running.

One of the things I love about Aunt Marg is that she’s able to laugh at herself.  Sometimes she forgets things and today we took turns forgetting things and laughing about it.  We had a really fun time out and about Lynden and Bellingham.  I took pictures, but I’ll have to share them later.  I haven’t yet figured out how to make this Chromebook download my pictures.

After we ran errands we came home and played four games of Banana Scrabble.  Aunt Marg won the last one and declared a moratorium on games.  Instead she took me out to dinner.

I called Mark when we got back from dinner.  He had a good day with Bill and Barb helping him clean.  Hello to all of you in Wisconsin!

Aunt Marg and I spent the evening talking about spiritual things.  She has a deep, abiding faith in God.  I love her to bits!  I’m glad I had time to visit with her on this trip.
