Mark has been in Appleton doing a training for veterans for the last couple days, and he took the truck with him. He’s been staying in a Motel 6, but he’ll be home tonight. When he walks in the door, he’ll be in for a big surprise! Continue reading

The perks of working at Wagon Trail Campground!
Wednesday night, almost the entire staff, including Tim and Kathy who arranged it, got to take a boat tour of the bluffs with Shoreline Tours. This came about because someone from the tour company took the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) training with us a few weeks ago and they offered us a free tour. I took well over two hundred pictures and it has taken me a few days to edit them all. Now, picking just a few of these to show you is my next hurdle! Continue reading
Storms still obey Him!
Mark and I had just had dinner and were talking about what we were going to do before our evening rounds when there was a knock on our door. One of the new Workampers here came to warn us that a severe storm was on its way. Continue reading
My take on things
Mark mentioned in his guest blog that I was feeling overwhelmed a few days ago. More on that at the end of this post, but for right now, here are some of the shots I took of the boat tour Tim gave us: Continue reading
Guest Blog: “Me” aka Mark Fuller
Hey, everbody!! It’s Me!!!
Denise is feeling a bit overwhelmed and asked if I could do her blog for her tonight. She wanted to write it last night, but the excitement of our boat ride caused her to run out of steam, even before she had time to finish editing all the pictures she took from our excursion.
The LA Times story by John Glionna
Those of you who have been with me for a while will remember that last summer when we were working in Door County, a reporter named John Glionna and a photographer named Francine Orr came out from the LA Times to tag along with us, interview us, and photograph us. One thing and another came along and the story was put off. John just wrote to me to ask if I’d seen the story online. Continue reading
From Sarasota, FL: The eagle has landed!

From Heber Springs, AR
One problem with having to be somewhere at a certain time is that you don’t have time to really stop for pictures. Mark and I had a long push today to make it for the 2nd Annual NRVIA Conference which starts tomorrow. Actually, tomorrow is a training for me and the conference itself starts on Saturday. At least we get to stay in one place for a few nights, which is lovely. It means we get to take things out of the sinks and actually use them and bump out both slide outs so that the RV feels more spacious again. Continue reading
Last day on the job
The last campers pulled out (supposedly) by noon today and then it was time to do closing procedures. The part Mark and I played in it was to bring all the soap and shampoo dispensers and cleaners up to the main building to empty them into bottles so they won’t freeze this winter. Then we washed the dispensers out and put all the used rags through the washer and drier. We emptied the garbages, turned off the heat and locked the doors. What a joy to be done for this season! Odds and ends
I was told tonight that I need to post a new blog entry. I don’t have anything earthshaking to report, but here’s what’s been going on and why my posts have been a bit more sparse lately: Continue reading
