Tomorrow, I pretty much start my new work schedule for the season. We had a staff meeting at the Visitor Center this afternoon to go over everything we need to know to work there. My head is spinning!
The furnace guys came around 8:30 this morning to put the ductwork in. Apparently, at 12:20, the delivery people tried to deliver our new tub, but with the furnace truck in the driveway, I guess they decided not to drop it off. I was out getting lunch for the young men and me so I didn’t know about until I found their note tucked into my screen door. And at 1:30, Bill Curran came to work some more on our bathroom vanity. Mark left at 9:30 this morning headed toward Indiana. I tried to delay him as long as possible so that I could have a little more time with him, but I should have let him go sooner because he didn’t reach his destination until 9:00 our time, 10:00 Eastern time. It needed some repairs to the seat covers, both the seat and the seat back, but other than that, it was usable. He brought it home and we fixed it up. Ever since then, he’s been wanting to go on a bike ride with me. Continue reading
I know it seems like I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the last couple of weeks, but I have a good reason. I’ve been working. The last two weeks, H&R Block has been in peak season. I have been working four-day weeks, but in calculating my hours for the pay period yesterday, I discovered I had worked a little over 99 hours! Continue reading
