From Las Cruces, NM

Tax season is over!!!  The only sad part was leaving our friends at Northwest Community Friends Church.  I don’t think we actually got out of Tucson until sometime around noon, but we anticipated that and only planned a four-hour day on the road.

Goodbye, Tucson!

As soon as we crossed the border between Arizona and New Mexico, we re-entered Mountain time.  We only drove four hours, but we got to Las Cruces five hours after we left Tucson.  Time-wise, we are now half way between our friends and family in  Washington, Oregon and Arizona, and our friends in Door County, Wisconsin.

I spent most of the trip looking at magazines that are giving me ideas for remodeling our house.  I saved a chunk of my inheritance from Sherill to do some much needed work on our house, starting with upgrading our electrical wiring and putting in a new furnace.  Mark and I have been discussing all sorts of ideas for the rest of the house.  It’s going to be interesting to see how much we can accomplish.
