Well, we had aimed for getting out of here tomorrow, but it ain’t happening. Besides the fact that we still have a lot to do to get ready, Mark can’t find the keys to the RV ignition, so he had to call a locksmith. The locksmith is down in Green Bay and won’t be able to come up until tomorrow.
I guess I haven’t mentioned yet that we ended up keeping Tucson. I had gotten a call from a neighbor saying that she’d heard of someone who might be interested in meeting Tucson, so I was getting all set to get rid of her, but Mark was really depressed. He loves her. To his credit, he wasn’t going to stop me from giving her away after what she did to me, but he was miserable. I finally told him if he can take her to work with him and everywhere else he goes, he can keep her. He took the passenger seat out of his work truck to accommodate her and he has been good at taking full responsibility for her. Continue reading
Back before I flew out to Oregon in September, I signed up to participate in a quilt workshop put on by the Trillium Quilt Guild today. When I thought I was going to be staying in Oregon, I canceled my registration for the workshop. Then when Sherill died and I returned, I asked if there was still room for me and I was told yes, so I got to spend today being creative. Continue reading
I’m relatively OK
OK, so it’s not the Rose Festival Parade or the Macy’s Parade, but we know how to have parades in Door County. My boss at Door County North (where I work in the Visitor Center) wanted to advertise the things the Ellison Bay Beautification Project has been doing in downtown Ellison Bay, particularly the new butterfly mural on one of the buildings. Fall Fest in Sister Bay – 10/13/18
Because the fall colors have been so glorious, I was carrying my camera with me to work and to church in case I should see something I had to shoot. Last Sunday, I was driving home from church with my camera on the front seat beside me. I suddenly had to step on the brake and the camera fell off the seat. The next picture I tried to take, the lens wouldn’t focus. 🙁 I have seen all sorts of things since that I would have loved to photograph and share with you, but I can’t. Therefore, I haven’t written. I’m not exactly sure which season I like best, but right at the moment, fall is my favorite. People come to the peninsula in October to observe the autumn colors. I have been driving around with my camera for the last week or so in case there’s something I want to shoot, and I’ve been glad to have my camera along many times. Continue reading
