Making the best of a bad cold

I have been looking forward to this week for some time because my son and his spouse have come to visit.  They arrived in Ephraim last evening (staying at an AirBnB) and for the next three days we were supposed to have fun exploring nature.  It’s not looking like that’s going to happen.  My son woke up with a sore throat and a cold this morning.

I was disappointed, but I knew that what was best for him was rest and lots of liquids.  I suggested they stay put for the day and come over this evening for dinner at our place.  We had a pleasant evening.  They got to meet Tucson and she and Sage hit it off really well.  For some reason, Tucson was not so sure about my son, but hopefully she’ll get used to him.

Almost all the places I wanted to take them are out, but we did decide to retain a couple pieces that are important to each of us.  Jamey wants to take Sage to see the Cana Island Lighthouse that he and I went to last year, and they both said they’d like to have a little tour of Ellison Bay.  It will be more low-key, but that just means they’ll have to come back again to see what they weren’t able to see on this visit.  Hopefully, tomorrow I’ll be able to get pictures.
